For a long time, Shenzhen has been an important gathering area of the domestic integrated circuit industry, and has long been in the leading position of the design industry, but in recent years, it has also faced dual challenges from internal and external. Now, with the release and implementation of the New Deal, Shenzhen integrated circuit industry is expected to further improve the industrial structure and usher in a new round of development.

Recently, the Shenzhen Municipal Government officially issued the "Shenzhen Implementation Plan on Further Accelerating the Development of Strategic Emerging Industries" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan"). The "Plan" proposes a three-step strategy to form a development pattern of strategic emerging industries with prominent focus, reasonable layout and remarkable quality and benefit, and become an important source of new economic development in the world.

Among the seven strategic emerging industries, the new generation of information technology takes integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, 5G mobile communication, new display, Internet of Things, intelligent connected vehicles, and flexible electronics as the key fields, proposing to accelerate the construction of ubiquitous and efficient information networks, take industrial cross-border integration and intelligent development as the main direction, and build the world's leading electronic information industry base.

Five development areas:

1. Baoan Yanluo Area focuses on the development of integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, flexible electronics and other directions to build an important strategic emerging industry agglomeration area;

2. Bright Phoenix City has an unconventional layout of integrated circuits, new displays, digital economy and other directions, and strives to become a green smart new city with ecological quality, high-end industry, integration of industry and city, and strong regional radiation ability;

3. Pingshan High-Tech Zone focuses on the development of integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, high-end equipment, hydrogen fuel cells, graphene, precision medicine, additive manufacturing and other directions to build a world-class eastern high-tech park;

4. Baolong Science and Technology City focuses on the layout of integrated circuit manufacturing and packaging, accelerates the construction of graphene industrial park, and promotes the formation of a development pattern dominated by new generation information technology, new materials and intelligent manufacturing;

5. Shajing Area focuses on the development of integrated circuit industry, ensures development space with urban renewal, builds platforms for power electronic device design, packaging and testing, continuously improves the industrial chain, and builds integrated circuit industrial cluster.
